MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur, Sept. 4 (PIA) --- Women from various organizations here have convened and organized the Provincial Women Council (PWC) Wednesday, September 3 to serve as the voice of the Ranao women.

The organizational meeting was attended by women from the religious, media, academe sector, as well as from national line agencies, civil society organizations, and Lanao del Sur People’s Council (LDSPC).
The meeting ended with an election of council officers and setting of date for the creation of the PWC committees.
Elected as first officers were Dr. Padoman Paporo of the Philippine Muslim Women Council (PMWC) as chair, Bae Pesigue C. Tomawis of provincial government as the vice-chair and Bae Nabiha Lao as the Executive Director. (Johaniah N. Yusoph/APB/PIA-10 Lanao del Sur)
